eGiftAfrica, a brand of Giift.com, has pioneered an innovative loyalty solution for Engen in Mauritius! For the first time ever, the company introduced a paperless lottery system across 33+ fuel stations with the help of Giift’s unique concept and technological expertise.
Engen not only wanted to reward customers every time they filled their fuel tank, but also eliminate the millions of paper tickets it used to issue prior to implementing the Giift digital lottery solution. Prizes range from fuel vouchers, shopping vouchers and hotel bookings to the grand prize of a Mercedes Benz. Giift came up with a brilliant solution to go paperless, by digitizing the entire process! Every time a customer fills fuel worth 500 Rupees, they will get 1 lottery e-ticket. The system built by eGiftAfrica is fully automated and enables the petroleum giant to capture customer information and issue lottery e-tickets to customers via SMS. It’s a win-win solution! eGiftAfrica CEO Sharouk Jiwa says, “For Engen, a manual rewards process has now become seamless with the help of digital transformation. We are proud of the partnership we have with Engen and look forward to providing more innovative solutions using our technology.”
Engen is partly owned by Petronas, one of the largest oil companies, focused on refining and marketing of petroleum and petroleum-based products and offers retail convenience services through an extensive network of service stations across Africa. It will now be able to capitalize on this vast customer base with the new-age loyalty solution, powered by Giift. Engen Mauritius MD Jean Pierre Payet says, “Our aim is to bring the best service and rewards to our customers. This innovative concept has been built for the convenience of the customer.”
