Head of Cyber Security

We are looking for a Head of Cyber Security who will be based at our Giift office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Head of Cyber Security will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and control of Giift’s security procedures. This an independent hands-on role internally, and a client or auditor management job externally.

He/She can expect a fast pace and dynamic working environment, fielding requests from prospects as part of the sales process, liaising with bank security professionals, and at the same time ensuring internally that Office365 or AWS are accessed with the right credentials, in partnership with our IT team.

  • Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive information security and risk management framework, process, guidelines, controls and best practices for the organization
  • Review and align information on security practices and develop risk management and mitigation plans
  • Conduct continuous assessment of IT security practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead cyber risk mitigation, from establishing internal policies to running penetration tests with our clients
  • Act as organization central point of contact for cyber risk and security matters and to answer all IT security issues in RFPs
  • Manage privileges on different critical business systems, such as AWS administration and CRM
  • Maintain the Giift exposure dashboard, risk quantified by frequency / severity
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry cybersecurity practices and technology as well as emerging threats and vulnerabilities, to enhance the cybersecurity posture, and ensure compliance.
  • Review and maintain up-to-date security policies, standards and guidelines, while oversee the training, and dissemination of those documents.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in information/cyber security or any relevant field
  • Experience working with information systems security and IT security tools
  • Highly developed knowledge of cyber security and risk management principles, practices and project management skills
  • Hands-on leader, visionary, and problem solver with a passion for excellence.
  • Proven leadership, communication, issue resolution and performance management skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills. Organizationally astute, with influencing, collaboration and communication skills
